Hi

Could you please tell me if I am right in understanding the given quote?

"Hope is a good breakfast, but it is a bad supper."

Maybe the writer refers breakfast to a young/ early age or the start of the day when a person has a lot of get up and go. So if one hopes at that moment one has time to wait and see. But at the later part of age hope is nothing but another form of pain.

I really do not know... Sad

Could you please help me?

The Bacon continues... Wink

While it's good to start off with hope, if hope is all you have at the end, then you haven't achieved what you hoped for (and have no time left to realize your hopes).

Hi Tom

That was a humorously intended short form of "The list of Bacon quotes continues". And, as I'm sure you know, bacon is also a food and it would be quite normal to use the with that word... Wink
