Direct speech: Next night = a night later=One night later =Tomorrow night. (1)
Indirect speech: the following night = the night after=the next night =a following night = a night after=a next night= a/one night later. (2)

Example sentences would be easier to comment upon, tung quoc (at least, for me!). As with most native speakers, I am not theoretically oriented when I meet a problem; only if it remains a conundrum do I drag out the grammar book.
