Hi friends,

If i have to write "my impression and recommendation combined for a patient then what should be use after recommendation (of, on, for).

For examplae if i have to write" My impression and recommendation of this patient is that he is suffering from laryngitis and diet instruction were given"

Hi Doc

Your sentence needs major improvement and should be rewritten. Personally, I wouldn't attempt to combine 'impression' and 'recommendation' this way. It makes the sentence confusing. In addition, you changed from present tense to past tense in the sentence.

As your sentence stands, you would need the following prepositions:
"my impression of (this patient's condition)" (i.e. what you think about the patient -- but are not sure about)
"my recommendation for this patient" (i.e. the recommendation that you give to the patient/what patient is told to do)

Do you really want to use the word 'impression'? It seems to me that 'diagnosis' would be better.

Here is my suggestion. I changed it to two sentences and also used recommend instead of recommendation:

My diagnosis was laryngitis. I recommended and provided instruction for dietary changes (to this patient).

By the way, don't forget to capitalize the word ' I '. Wink

Hi,

A proper dog's dinner well sorted out by Dr Yankee. It was enough to get a sore throat, just reading it!
