In addition, what qualities do you think journalists should have?Give reasons for your answer.
my answer: People receive a lot of information from news reports told by journalists. However, some people claim that we cannot believe the news that we are presented with.As for me,we should believe what journalists represented to us.
Firstly, journalist is the eyewitness of the news.Generally, when an accident happens,a journalist is the first man to witness how it happen.Frequently, they saw the true of the news.
Secondly, journalist could transmit information in an express way. They can spend little time to transmit news to kinds of media, such as TV,newspaper and broadcast programme. Therefore,we may receive news from those media in a short time.
Thirdly , journalist has a much dtronger ability of analysis than common people. Before journalist receive a opportunity to work, they must had been learnedjournalist knowledge sufficiently. Therefore they can analysize the news’ fact after they told me.
In addition, without the help of journalist,we don’t receive fresh news immediately, and can’t analysis the information more clearly.Besides, sometimes some of the journalists towrite some unture information to cheat us for their own profit. Therefore readers don’t believe the journalists.
So,as a good journalist, they must have ability to tell the true of the news. Then people can believe what journalist said. |

People receive a lot of information from news reports presented by journalists. However, some people claim that we cannot believe the news that we are presented with. What is your opinion on the issue?
Public is overwhelmed with 'n' number of ways and types of news or informations they get from the vast variety of communication media, often hosted, guided, piloted by journalists and other news providers. In fact, the news providers themselves are competitive with another, consequentially rendering the news they portend - exaggerated, polished and prejudiced at times. Although this is the actual scene with the information providers such as journalists, public is left with no option but to believe with whatever they put forth as the truth. By all means, there is a little bit of verity which can be skimmed from the information they provide. There are several reasons which make people claim that the journalists news cannot be completely trusted as follows:
As stated above, the news providers are bent upon making an impression on people that they sell the best news whatsoever, eventually manipulating the information to increase the curiosity of their consumers. Being human beings, we crave to sate our curiosity by keeping up with such news programs. Thus, journalists main motto is to make the bland news tastier, tongue tickling and something savorable. Therefore, good journalists should consider their job ethics in providing accurate news rather than sugar coated one.
Additionally, there may be other serious issues which may influence the news propaganda and so also the journalists. For example, in the verge of communal problems such as hindu, muslim combats which occurred in India, the journalists had to measure and carefully analyze the statements they present to the people, apparently helping in soothing down or keeping harmony among others who were not involved. So, journalists should be concerned with the impact on the society or the public while providing certain piece of information or data.
On the other hand the news can be widely be influenced politically and give biased statements nurturing a political view. For example, there are many news channels whose founders are political leaders themselves, who use the such a media to discharge news in their favor. The sun news channels owned and run by the monetary benefits gained from the Tamil Nadu political leader Karunanidhi exemplifies the above stated use of such a news provider. So, journalists should always be truthful in giving out the news and should not be lured by the rewards they would get out of providing one.
Frankly speaking there is a gist when people claim on not believing the journalists and their news, so they should try to ingest the face value out of the exaggerated news and keen, in depth meaning of the blandly stated one. And it is the duty of the journalist to provide a comprehensible, legitimate news to the public. |
