open-air pool or lido?

Hi All,

How to call if a beach isn't really a beach because it is in the middle of a city.

open-air pool or lido?
(where you can eat and drink and play ball etc.)

You must refer to an outdoor swimming pool, since a beach is a stretch of sand/pebbles by the side of the sea/lake/river. I don't think the term 'lido' is very common nowadays.

I agree with Conchita here. I have never heard the word lido used, although a dictionary search did bring the word up. I would never have known what lido meant.
