You can say these:
''It is my strong belief that Jones was responsible" "It is my strong suspicion that Jones was responsible." ("Belief" and "suspicion" are nouns.)
"I strongly believe that Jones was responsible." ''I strongly suspect that Jones was responsible''. "I believe strongly that Jones was responsible." "I suspect strongly that Jones was responsible." ("Believe" and "suspect" are verbs.) |

But the verb ''believe'' and the noun ''belief'' don't have the same meaning. _________________ Don't see your shade think you are great |

They have the same meaning as far as verbs and their equivalent nouns CAN have the same meaning. |

First of all, I'm sorry for butting in, but I'd like to ask about the meaning of two words "that" coming one after another in the sentence ''It is my strong belief that that Jones was responsible". As far as I understand the first "that" is a conjunction as in "He thinks that..." and the second "that" is a pronoun as in "That man...".
Am I correct? |

Of course, you're right. I simply copied and pasted the sentence from the original query without noticing that mistake. I've edited the mistake out of my post. |

Jeez! Cool down, man! I was just having fun because you'd misspelled my name.
I made a mistake and then you made a mistake. We're all equal. Everything is beautiful in it's own way.
