when to use mean and meant? #4 (permalink) Tue Feb 05, 2008 19:44 pm   when to use mean and meant?

Hi,

You say: This what I mean today This was what I meant yesterday.

Do you understand what I mean in my answer at this moment?

Did you understand what MM meant in his answer at 5.56?

when to use mean and meant? #5 (permalink) Tue Feb 05, 2008 22:10 pm   when to use mean and meant?

I'm still confused.

"Do you understand what I mean in my answer at this moment? "

but that moment is already done. so it already belongs to the past?

does meant only applies on past like "yesterday"? and not like "a few seconds ago"

please help..

thanks!
