Hey guys! which of those two sentense is correct:

1. Many do believe that they only can realize their dream if they immigrate to the US

2. Many do believe that they can only realize their dream if they immigrate to the US

Hi Sese,

I would comment on the position of 'only' and the use of 'do'. If you want to emphasize the fact that people believe, it would be better to write: Many people do in fact ... 'Only' needs to be near the verb it qualifies: can only realise ...

The whole sentence would be:

Many people do in fact believe that they can only realise their dream if they emigrate to the US.

The fact that many immigrants were tempted to emigrate to the USA, were politic, economic and social factors the cause.

is this a correct sentense?

Political, economic and social factors tempted many immigrants to emigrate to the USA.
