Hi,

My dictionary says that "draw on" means "to withdraw money from an account", but I'm not sure I can use this verb in a sentence.
I made up a sentence with it, could you please, check it?

Quote:
Jim drew on his account every time he lacked funds for booze

Thanks !

Alex,

You can also use 'draw on' in a figurative sense. A long distance athlete can draw on resources within his body to finish the race. It has the sense of 'making use of' something which is often not immediately apparent.
