Question on usage of 'present tense' #1 (permalink) Wed Mar 26, 2008 8:56 am   Question on usage of 'present tense'

Can I use simple present to suggest a future action?

For example, are the following sentences ok?

1) I am at your place in a few minutes
2) You are here for another hour?

Please help.

Question on usage of 'present tense' #2 (permalink) Wed Mar 26, 2008 9:24 am   Question on usage of 'present tense'

Hi,

You would have to say: I'll be at your place in a few minutes

In the second sentence I would change the word order:

Are you here for another hour?

Alan

PS You may find this of some use:
