Sense of humour

Hi,

Do you have one - a sense of humour I mean? Of course everyone has one. What I really hate is when someone says: Oh, she/he has no sense of humour. What they really mean is that this someone doesn't find what they find funny, funny. If you follow me. Certain nationalities are said not to have a sense of humour but then that's sheer bigotry, isn't it? There are different types of humour and even in a geographically small country like mine, you hear professional comedians saying that they change their act depending on which area/town they are performing in.

Hi Alan

The humour that makes me laugh in English is usually clever, observational or sometimes close to the bone (black) humour.

Anything from Blackadder, to anything with Simon Pegg (Spaced, Sean of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and the upcoming Run Fatboy Run) in it to the Office, and extras.

In German I have to go for simpler stuff, like "Was guckst du?" guy or Michael Mittermeier.
