Hi

I know we have covered this ground before, but I suspect I still need more light.

Do crack open and break and split open sound OK to you in the following sentences?

Quote:
The skin on my hands and feet split open due to hard water.
The skin on my hands and feet cracked open due to hard water.
The skin on my hands and feet broke due to hard water.

Many thanks,

Tom
