I do have a thousand things to do every day as you do and they keep walking into the classroom with brilliant minds to learn something they never knew how to learn before. As you and I am a language trainer not teacher we train them to learn things faster and better than the methods they where trying. I appreciate the website for the information for at times it has given me a new insight to my seekers of knowledge. As a part time writer for learning I have learned a lot from this website, and I appreciate it immensely. As for managing my time well they say if I can have a nickel for every hour wasted throughout my life I would be a millionaire today. It seems that we waste more when we do not have direction in life. Many of my students are like this and they have wasted more than time but their live's running after a rainbow's pot of gold.

I am surprised about the letter you sent me because I know I must practice English everyday but my country has not the opportunities to do it. I have noticed that in many others countries people are learning two or three more languages to improve their communications around the world and to have friends from everywhere, but we, our children and teenagers are taking English class just in private Schools, if you go or visit a public school you can realize that a Math or a Science Teacher is in charge of the English subject and government knows that there are a lot of English Teachers who have not gotten their official job yet. How can be that? I know we have to improve our own knowledge about this matter but when you are trying to explain something to your students they do not understand anything about it. (In High School for example) they not even know the colors in English, where can I start? how? and where? I try to do my best.

Dear Torsten Daerr,

Yes,you are right 'lack of time' is the best description of what problem I currently face.

I'm an aircraft engineer who work in an international airliner at which English is the main way to communicate with crews or all colleagues around the world.
It becomes a necessity to be able to understand orally or written.

As you know we work in shift where we have no fixed time to come to regular English class furthermore the Company where I work may call me to the office if we have big problem and requires more people.

Thanks to English on line which provide me a kind of alternate in learning English in very flexible in term of accessing time.Hope this will encourage me to learn English better for my own benefit of course.

Best regards,

Dear Mr Torsten Daerr,

firstly I 'd like to thank for your email asking about me managing the time, particularly my time for English activity (learning). I am an officer of Government owned company that running on airport business in Indonesia. My office is in Jakarta. As people in general that have to work in the morning, so do I that at 0630 must be seated in the office till 17;00 Pm.

I am usually busy with my clients providing them a lot of information they need, especially regarding to aviation activities. so I meet many different people either from my own country or foreigners. those are the reason that I need to sharpen my English skill to support my daily activities.

Frankly speaking, I am very poor with slang, and particular idiom used by mother tongue language. So in one occasion I have to ask to repeat the utterance.
it seems strange to me when I find a word, or phrase that I don't understand. I think I need to study more and more English.

Dear sir, It 's very helpful to me if you are able to spend any time me sending me email regarding to English lesson in order I can study more. I am one of a person used to stuck behind the computer and so frequent ready with my email. it is no matter
either in the office or in my house. I think study must not be done in the school only but we can do where we have time.

Ghanks for your curiosity.

Dear Torsten Daerr: Thank you for your letters.
Sometimes it's the only chance to get good English grammar, idioms, instructions and more while reading these texts. Very helpful letters!

Thank you very much.

My new teaching idea is: "Comedy Club" TV programme! - Russian teenagers(boys) like it! I want to use this interest to have funny and useful 10-15 minutes in a lesson for just a one boy in a time.

That's why I read your ESL letters - I am looking for the key.

2. "MANAGING YOUR TIME" - I store good addresses on my personal site: veralex.mylivepage.ru

And in a hard minute of a lesson I use them to forward the lesson.

Best regards,

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your good approach on this course. I seriously read your writing; very clear, enthusiastic, sound methodology, good psychological approach and all in all it is working for a new learner.I really appreciate for your help. On the basis of your news letter, it is entirely different from our current poor study centres. My intention is studying the language in full-fledge that is beauty of English, its jargon, root of grammar approach (my language Malayalam is many times confront to English grammar), its critical idioms, fictional-translation and also spoken style. I think you understand the learner. It is hopeful, your possibilities is much more in our region Kerala.

Even now I have no sure that this letter either correct or wrong! These suspect still exist in more people, so they go back to speak and write. I will register recent days as you prescribe. I would like write much more, but lack of language efficiency obstructs me.

Weak language wants lot of time for expression, it don't get satisfaction anybody.

Best Regards

I'm VietNamese and my English is not very good. My level maybe at lower-intermediate.So I want to improve my Einglish. One English learning method is go to ESL forums, studying online at websites such as ESLpod.com, macmillan.com... I'm a freshman now, studying in foreign trade university, and I understand the importance of learning English. How we suffer our shame when we can't speak English with a person who comes from another country.. I thank you for paying attention to me.

Today, when I open my inbox, I saw your advice and I'm moved and fired about that. If your website has anything new, please send me an email. In fact, I'm sometimes very lazy and it make me feel bored. I also hope we are good partner in teaching and learning English.
