TOEFL® essay: Should high school students wear uniforms?

People ought to decide whether students should wear the uniform or not; some people think that wearing uniform is a good idea while others oppose the idea. As far as I am concerned, to wear uniforms is a good idea, but first I will list all the possible disadvantages and advantages of uniforms.
First of all, wearing uniforms helps students to focus harder on school studies; they shouldn’t spend time on thinking about what to wear next or how to look better than the classmates. It is known that teenagers tend to show off and to do everything just to be better than others. Saying simply, paying less attention on clothes they can learn more at school.
Another advantage of wearing uniforms is that students won’t buy fashion and expensive clothes, so that they will save money, which their parents earn with a hard working. Also, wearing uniforms can help some students to avoid uneasiness from the side of their classmates, for example, students who can allow themselves to wear expensive and fashion clothes can confuse those students that haven’t enough money to buy it.
Wearing uniforms helps us to develop the sense of self-discipline, which will help us in future, for example going to the interview to get a job it would be ridiculous to come in jeans with yellow t-shirt and sneakers, we should know the scope between official and nonofficial styles.
But wearing uniforms also has its disadvantages. Students wearing whatever they want can show their real personalities. It is some kind of art; with the help of clothes we can show our mood such as happiness or sadness.
All things considered, taking into account all the given advantages and disadvantages of wearing uniforms I can conclude that students should wear uniforms in order to comply with rules and to have equality between each other.
