Hello Torsten, thank you for your reply. Well, i need to improve my english because i use it at work. And every month i should write a small reports about the activities that i developed during the month. And its dificcult for me, because i understand very well but i can`t write. I have to many dificults to formulate a sentence with sense. I`m an economist and i work as a consultant.

The other reason for improve my english is the IELTS Exam. I need to do these exam because i want to continue my studies - Master - in a english native country. Please do not help me, correcting my senteces, my messages. Thank you in advance.

That's not bad at all because you can start writing essays any time. So what about emails or forum posts in English? How many of them do you write per week?

Hi Tabug,

I think what really counts is that you are improving your English on a regular basis. Most universities in the US and Canada will require you to take the TOEFL test but whether you take the TOEFL, the IELTS or any other exam isn't really that important. You should learn for yourself rather than for an exam. If you want to get more information about the difference between the TOEFL and IELTS, please read TOEFL vs. IELTS.
