The ONLY way you folk are going to improve your English is by studying the posts written in these Forums by the people answering the questions. They are nearly all native-English speakers.

Study the way of writing, and where the grammar comes into use.

If you CONTINUE to write in the way that you THINK is acceptable, then you will NEVER improve.

Check-out the sentence structure, and the BASIC GRAMMAR.

Most of you just go on ignoring our pleas for you to do so. Ignoring us is just a waste of your time, not ours.

Hi Rishad,

Many thanks for sharing your experiences with us. You say that have been learning English for a long time and I believe you. There is one important thing you have not paid enough attention to yet: You need to learn and obey the basic rules of the English language. Apparently, when you started to learn English you did not learn the basics. As a result, you have developed very poor language habits. Now you need to try and change these habits gradually.

As a first step, please study and follow the instructions on this page: http://www.english-test.net/community/index.html#How_can_I_improve_my_writing_skills

Best regards,
Torsten

Hi everyone!
I'm proud to tell you I am a WINNER! Let's be modest....
No honestly I really am proud of myself because I'm like a natural...i can't find the words to explain and describe what I feel. But I just wanted to let you know that i achieved my goal and better that I first thought. Thank you for your website. I just read the post "are you a winner?" and recognised myself in everything you said. And you need to know that didn't wait to read that to put it into practice. I just did it that way because I know myself and the way I like to learn. I had a really good time learning English (and I bear in mind that I keep learning everyday). I think this is my first post or whatever. I felt like telling you I am so proud. Love you all. xxx

Hi, My name is Carla, from Peru. I've just submitted into this which is really amazing, I didn't even know about this website.
I'm going to tell you a little bit of myself, he-he don't get bored ok?
I've just moved to Australia, it's a really nice country I just love it, but I don't have so many friends, in fact just a few if I can call them friends, you know, I've been here for a month or so. so it's your turn, what's your name? and where are you from?

Hello everyone,
Let’s first define what is the winner? A winner is one that is successful especially through praiseworthy ability and hard work,( 2009 Merriam-Webster, Incorporated).
While Denis Waitley states that “The winner's edge is not in a gifted birth, a high IQ, or in talent. The winner's edge is all in the attitude, not aptitude. Attitude is the criterion for success.” This might sound like a very broad definition, therefore I’m with Zig Ziglar’s opinion about what is the winner when he mentions “You were born to win, but to be a winner; you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win.” let me give you an example: when I finished my B.A. studies, I discovered that I’m suffering from certain weaknesses in Grammar, therefore, I insisted on developing my ability in this subject and even, to be specialised in it by being a teacher of grammar. And I did. This gives me the motive to read a lot. Reading a lot increases my knowledge in this subject and I completely succeeded in it. I even started teaching others many rules about it. So it is the desire to win which I’ve got helped me to win. I never run away saying no I’m not good in grammar therefore I must not teach such subject. What makes a winner a winner is their ability to control and change their habits. If you want to learn English like a winner, you have to be able to make a commitment to yourself and follow through with your decision.
Moreover, it is mentioned in “English for Winner’s book” another thing concerning what is winner, that is “Willingness to learn and change habits”: “It is now up to you to decide if you also is a winner because winners know that learning means positive change. A winner looks forward to changing their habits on a regular basis.” Yes, I’m a winner because I challenged my weakness and fears and I controlled them at the end. I stopped saying, that girl is better than I am or to say, I can’t do it therefore, I must get back.
The third and most important thing, which is mentioned in this book, is “Courage to be yourself.” I think it is difficult to Admit in front of others about one’s weakness in learning and comprehending the English language. To me, it is not a sham admitting such weaknesses because to keep silent means to stay still in my place and never get progress in my learning the new language. Therefore, I must have the courage to be myself and to search and learn if I want to reach my goals.
Finally, to be a winner one must know why he or she wants to learn the English language because knowing the “why “will give him or her the motive to learn and to be ready for all the difficulties he or she may face. I strongly advice all my friends in this web to read this book because it contains many reasons behind learning the English language and ways how to be a winner.

With honour and respect

Mr. Torsten,

English is not my native language but it is as good as it, because all my life I have learned all my subjects in English. I live in India and here use of English is rampant. I Know that my language skills are quite good, however, I still have miles to go. I am sure that you will help me this endeavor.

Halloo Torsten.

As you know human have a distinct way of understanding and as well as degree of adopting same thing new to their lifes, and to me accoring to the rump up that I was in the world of english learners, I believe that I did same thing great, but the barkade was not disintered as it was intended to be, but we are doing great, and trying to be more winner that ever before, its just the practise that develop us into unexpected and wonderfull stepforward. and her we go.

words in a nutshelll. i really love not just like, to be a winner at all time. and this accent in unique angle.

Haloo terson.

Every human on this Circle has a mission in which He/She is anticipating to rest on it. that Goal is the dream, the dream that makes us a live, that allow us the vision to reveal our fate so beaming, and its mot just one dream, its many, every year, you are sit to see same thing strange and wonderfull, to me personally I try to be multi-lingual and when i am talking about forieng languages I like to act like the citizen of that specified accent, and now english accent is one of my dream, and for this i am her to be a winner of my dreams, and see the outcome of my efforts.

How ever. year after year i am doing great, and soon you will hear my voice recorded and posted on this helpfull webiste.

I like to be a winner to my Goals and misions, to think win/win istead of loss/loss, as Mr, stephen covey measured on his book of "7-habits of highly effective people" think win/win. and many shrawd men said "the person's personal producation cabapilty is direct propersional with the Dreams of that person" the more you dream expects a high-ranked spot, the more your production capabilty encreases, and if your capability encrease you well reveal among billion heads.

Dear Torsten.
To answer your question,I'm not a winner yet, because I still need to learn more, sometimes I don't have enough
time to study but I'm trying my best and when I can speak fluently, then I will say that I'm a winner.
Thanks.
