. What is the exercise-- to choose a synonym? Then 'thoroughness' is the only possible answer, even though it has little to do with neatness. . _________________ Native English teacher at Mister Micawber's |

I agree that none of the answers are right, but "thoroughness" is the closest, even though it's not close.
You're right to think that all the answers are unacceptable. There seem to be a lot of mistakes in that book you've been studying from. |

. Hi Zishuli,
We do try to review, improve and correct our tests when students point out problems, so please continue to let us know of anything you find that does not seem right.

Hi Mister,
Sorry, I don't mean to be a faultfinder. I know it is unavoidable to have some mistakes since a huge number of tests are provided. In fact, I do love to have chance leaving message here in order to practise my writing by the name of " discussing".
I really appreciate your efforts. ^_^ Happy new year, Mister. |

. Please be a faultfinder! We do indeed have more than a thousand tests here, so we need help finding typos and other problems.

What exactly is a good thing for you? That you didn't make a mistake and don't have to correct it or that someone spotted a mistake that you didn't make? _________________ Test Of English for International Communication TOEIC Preparation & TOEIC Vocabulary |

Let's see this question and the options provided( test# TOEIC/ M251)
7. n. thoroughness
(a) opposite of child; a grown-up; a mature person (b) notch; narrow opening; place; position (within a system, etc.) (c) series of activities organized to accomplish a goal (d) diligence; neatness
The given answer is (d) "diligence; neatness". Does it explain the word "thoroughness" properly ? |
