Hi,
Yea there are techniques to improve your vocubulary. As may have experienced just reading ad trying to memorize the words isnt going to help you much.To remember the words you need to play with those words, making your sentences and trying to repeat the usage of the words.I find this site :improvingvocabulary.org very useful with many useful techniques.Hope it helps you too.Good Luck.

Vocabularies are really easy to learn you just have to look and learn words through the mind of a child. Elaboration would also be a good way for you to improve your vocabulary. These are just a few of the steps i found in a certain site. Please check it out if you have the time it might help a lot...www.buildingvocabulary.org

I know it is hard preparing for GRE. I had a hard time with the essays myself. If you are concerned with the verbal sections of the GRE exams, try visiting this link http://www.vocabularybuilder.info/gre-verbal-tips.html

It provides tips on how to manage the verbal section of the GRE exam.

If you are appearing for gre and particularly concerned about your verbal abilities, just check out this cool link. It makes gre verbal really a cake walk with a NEW TACTIC of learning gre word lists. Also it contains ebooks, gre weblinks( where you can find gre tutorials, online writing guides and yoou can get your writing accessed by some US universities) and verbal learning strategies

www.gre-verbal800.blogspot.com

I find this helpful as you get a new post everday to learn 30-50 words in few minutes( and you actually remember them for days)

Hey guys,

Just noticed that you were looking at creating flash cards to help study. I found a site that is actually set up on the premise of flash cards, however its much more efficient and I didn't have to bother creating my own cards. The best thing is that it really worked well for me and helped my verbal score alot. I think also (i was looking through the site) it was created by a Grad student for himself, so who would be better to help you study than someone who just took the test?

Good luck studying! Very Happy
