Difference between imply and infer

Dear Sir,

What is the difference between "imply" and "infer"? In most TOEFL test, they used both to ask in the Reading Comprehension Part. I think they're almost the same. Please explain.

Imply means suggest/indicate. Infer means draw a conclusion from.
