Why not to say "lose any time", it sounds very common.

The idea is that if you are very worried about something, you might stay up all night worrying about it, and thus not sleep, or lose sleep.

So, as Alan said, to 'not loose sleep over it' means not to worry about it (or not worry about it very much).
