1. Yes, although you could also use the verb 'cast', when referring to fishing nets. 2. No. You sit 'on' a bike seat, not 'in'. I'd say something like "You sit on the back (seat), and I'll drive." 3. This is okay. 4. The two aren't exactly equivalent. First, I'd suggest you use 'crying' or 'bawling' in place of 'weeping'. 'Weeping' has a sense of a quiet shedding of tears, and in my experience, when a baby is upset, it's not usually quiet.
"Can you lift the baby up because she's weeping?" This is okay (aside from using 'weeping'), but you could also say "Can you hold the baby, because she's crying?"
"Can you babysit the baby because she's weeping?" To babysit just means to watch over and care for a child in place of its regular parents. If you're trying to suggest that person A is asking person B to take over caring for the child because they need a break from the crying baby, then I'd suggest "Can you watch the baby, because she's crying (, and I need a break) ?" _________________ Plan to be spontaneous tomorrow.
