'haven't seen' vs 'didn't see' #1 (permalink) Mon May 04, 2009 10:20 am   'haven't seen' vs 'didn't see'

1) I haven't seen a thing like that till now.
2) I didn't see a thing like that till now.

Can someone please tell me which of the above sentences is correct and why?

.
#1 is the correct choice because the past event is directly and overtly related to the present moment with the phrase 'till now'.
