TOEIC QUIZ
Definition of number (adjective)
anesthetized; lacking sensitivity (to pain); in shock; senseless

I think this is definition of the word "numb" (comparative form: "number"

Yes: numb, number, numbest.

What's wrong with that?

Andrea, perhaps our friend is puzzled and a little confused with it's similarity to
" number." (numeral) Just a suggestion.

Bill.

Do you not think that a simple look into the dictionary would have sorted that?

If people can't do that, I'm sorry, but there is no mercy from my side.

I'd say Wieslaw wanted to point out the same mistake that was discussed here last December:
http://www.english-test.net/forum/ftopic33185.html#124489

Number 7 in TOEIC test W96 has an error that has not yet been corrected:
http://www.english-test.net/toeic/vocabulary/words/096/toeic-test.php
It is not appropriate to use the comparative form of the word "numb" in the test.

Fortunately, exactly the same error has already been corrected in one of the other TOEIC tests.
