Some people prefer to work for a large company. others prefer to work for a small company. which one do you prefer?

A big company has similar function as a small company, but some workers choose to work in a big company. Other workers choose to work in a small company. I choose to work in a big company.
First of all, a big company has workers who are professional or expert. Workers who are new in the company can learn to be expert from them. There are also has many chance for workers to get new jobs which are more expert or professional. For example, one of my friends works in a big company. He works with professional workers. He learns how to become experts from them. In the short time, he is going to be a professional worker. On the other hand, workers who work in a small company work with a few people. If they are lucky they will work with other workers who are expert. If they are not they will work with other workers who are not professional. They are very hard to learn how to become expert.
Second, a big company usually has average of salary workers. Workers also get many benefits from such as health insurance, a house, and a car. For example, my friend works in a petroleum company. He gets health insurance, a house, a car, and he doesn’t need to pay of school for his children.
Finally, workers are proud of their job. They won’t shy, if somebody asks about their jobs. For example, workers who work in Caltex are proud of their jobs. When they go to find the oil field or they are in a vacation and somebody ask about their jobs. They will ask by proud what their jobs are. They will never shy.
In conclusion, I believe workers will get many benefits, if they work in a big company. Workers can be easier to be expert or professional, get much salary, and proud of their job.

Rendra, good morning. Why have you written your essay so well in basic English, and then lapsed into such a slovenly manner of writing in your request for advice?

Rendra, I will be available later today to help you. What strikes me most about your
essay is the good use of English, and then the apparent abandonment of it after completing your essay.A very bad habit to slip into when you have no need to do so.

You essay is short of ideas, if nothing else. Experts ARE to be found in small companies .
Experts start small companies, and as the business flourishes, they employ other experts.
They specialise even if their output is low. Larger companies need to employ the available labour to suit their output, so their experts may be really hard-worked.

TOEFL essay samoles: A big company and a small company #5 (permalink) Tue Jun 16, 2009 10:10 am   TOEFL essay samoles: A big company and a small company

A big company performs similar functions to a small company, but some workers choose to work in a big company. Other workers choose to work in a small company.
I would always choose to work in a big company.

First of all, a big company has workers who are professional or experts. Workers who are new in the company can learn to be experts from them. There are also many more chances for workers to get better jobs within a larger company ,which employ many more experts or professionals than a smaller company.

For example, one of my friends works in a big company. He works alongside professional workers. He learns how he too can become an expert from them.
In a very short time, he hopes to become a professional worker.

On the other hand, workers who work in a small company work with only a few people. If they are lucky they will work with other workers who are experts. If they are not, then they will work with other workers who are not professionals. It is very difficult, if not impossible, to learn how to become an expert, especially when you do not have access to their wisdom.

Second, a big company usually has a high average of salaried workers. Workers also get many benefits, such as health insurance, a house, and a car. For example, my friend works in a petroleum company. He gets health insurance, a house, a car, and he doesn’t need to pay for his children's schooling.

Finally, big company workers are proud of their jobs. They won’t appear shy if somebody asks them about their jobs. For example, workers who work in Caltex are proud of their jobs. When they go to work in the oil field, or they are on vacation, and somebody ask about their jobs, they will ask by proud to state what their jobs are.

In conclusion, I believe workers will get many more benefits if they work in a big company. Workers will find it easier to become an expert or professional, get a much higher salary, and will proud of their jobs.
