Description of sporadic (adjective)
rarely occurring or appearing; intermittent; occasional; irregular; infrequent

Samples of sporadic
In the desert there is usually only sporadic rainfall.
Infection commonly occurs in children and infants, and the clinical progression of the disease is similar to syphilis when it is seen in the sporadic form; the late manifestations, however, tend to be seen at a much younger age.



   
Description of squalid (adjective)
filthy; wretched (from squalor); dirty; miserable

Description of parsimonious (adjective)
very frugal; unwilling to spend; economical

The owner was so parsimonious he refused to purchase new curtains when the old ones fell off the window.
The parsimonious individual argued that twenty-five cents was much too expensive for a pack of gum.



   
Description of insipid (adjective)
uninteresting; boring flat; dull; bland; lifeless

Many people left the insipid movie before it was finished.
Declaring the offerings insipid, the critic grudgingly awarded the restaurant one star.



   
Description of labyrinth (noun)
maze; complicated network of passages; something confusing or bewildering
